A bitter experience experienced by the American singer, Madison Beer, (24 years), with the start of her career when she was still 15 years old, when she was blackmailed by a boy who leaked a private clip of her that the whole world saw.
And the singer tells in an interview with the Call Her Daddy podcast, the details of which were published by “Yahoo” , that in 2014, when her singing life was just taking off, the boy she “loved and trusted” leaked the clip she sent him via “Snapchat”.
At the time, she thought it would be automatically deleted, but the young boy had other intentions. He downloaded a program that can automatically store clips sent via “Snapchat” on the phone, so what happened happened.
As she became more successful in singing, her boyfriend shared the clip with “all his friends” and uploaded it on the internet without her consent.
The singer, in a post on the occasion of International Women’s Day in 2020, touched on that incident, and said that she felt as if the whole world had watched the clip.
In the last interview, she said that she tried to reach the person, but he had blocked her, and she had to spend every “dollar she earned” to delete that footage from the Internet.
She added, “I felt so helpless. I was typing my name in quotes on Twitter to see everything people were saying about me.”
At the time, the adults around her told her that her career had stopped because of it.
Because of that crisis, she attempted suicide twice.
And she mentioned in a previous post that she had decided to free herself from this psychological burden, which had stuck with her for years, and said to herself, that little girl who was 14 years old: “Do not feel ashamed … Shame on those who betrayed your trust.”
