Mine sweats when the room is humid and leaves marks if I forget a coaster. Just mentioning that because nobody told me and I put it on a wood side table. It is pretty though.
Are salt lamps actually doing anything or are they just pretty rocks
My friend keeps saying salt lamps help with air quality and mood, but I honestly think they just look warm and cozy. I am not against buying one if it makes the room feel nicer, but are there any real benefits or is it basically just decor with good marketing?
Replies mostly treat salt lamps as cozy decor rather than proven air-quality tools, while still liking the warm lighting effect.

The health claims always sounded exaggerated to me. If a small glowing rock could noticeably change indoor air quality, everyone would have one beside the furnace lol. But mood lighting is real in the sense that a room feels better with softer light.
I have one and I love it, but not because I think it is cleaning my air. The light is warm and soft and makes my bedroom feel calmer at night. If you buy it as a lamp, great. If you buy it expecting some miracle health thing, probably disappointing.
