Honestly some Fiverr gigs now look like the seller just pastes your prompt into AI and sends the first result. That makes me more careful. I don't mind freelancers using AI, but I do mind paying for zero effort.
Has AI made some Fiverr services obsolete?
A lot of gigs on Fiverr used to be simple writing, image editing, product descriptions, basic logos, and social captions. Now AI tools can do some of that instantly. Are those Fiverr services still useful or are they slowly disappearing?
Replies suggest AI has replaced some basic Fiverr services, but good freelancers still add judgment, editing, strategy, and taste.
Answers & Discussion
I think bad gigs are becoming obsolete, not good freelancers. If someone was only selling generic work with no real skill behind it, AI is a problem for them. If they can take an idea and make it look professional, human, and usable, they still have value.
As a seller, I feel this every week. Some clients now assume everything takes five minutes because AI exists. They don't see the editing, cleanup, research, communication, and revisions. AI made some services faster, but it also made clients more demanding and sometimes less willing to pay fair rates.
AI definitely changed the lower end of Fiverr. Basic product descriptions, simple blog outlines, captions, and generic ad copy are things many people can do themselves now. But I still hire freelancers when I need someone to understand context, brand voice, or make judgment calls. AI gives you material, but a good freelancer gives you taste and direction.
