Carry a tissue and blot tears instead of wiping. Wiping destroys the makeup. I also keep the outer corner thinner because that is where everything smudges first. Less product in the problem area lasts longer.

Eye primer helped more than changing liner brands. I apply a tiny amount near the outer corner, set it lightly with powder, then use gel pencil. If the skin around the eye is oily or damp, liner does not have a chance.

I stopped putting liner on my lower waterline. That was the first thing to disappear and smear. Now I use waterproof pencil only on the upper lash line and set it with a matching shadow. It still looks defined but survives much better.
