The spam version is publishing hundreds of thin pages that say the same thing. The better version is answering real questions clearly and backing them with proof. If you have data, screenshots, tests, customer stories, or expert quotes, use them. AI systems need sources, but users still need reasons to trust you.
How do you optimize for AI search without sounding like spam?
Everyone is talking about GEO and AEO now. I want my brand to appear in AI answers, but I don’t want to publish robotic content that ruins the site.
SEOs discuss how to optimize for generative AI search while keeping content useful, original and human-focused.
Answers & Discussion
AI search seems to care about repeated credible mentions across the web, not just one optimized page. That means reviews, Reddit discussions, YouTube, LinkedIn, third-party articles, and consistent brand descriptions all matter. GEO is less about stuffing a page and more about making the web understand who you are.
The safest way is to make your content easier for both humans and machines to understand. Clear headings, direct answers, comparison tables, author experience, FAQs, and real examples help. But if the page exists only to feed AI systems, it will feel empty to readers. I still write for the person first, then structure it well.
