Single-serve bags helped me. If I buy a family-size bag, I already know how the night ends.
I keep buying healthy snacks and then reaching for chips anyway. Am I the only one who does this?
I buy fruit, nuts, yogurt, and protein snacks, but when I am tired I still want chips. Has anyone figured out how to actually choose the healthier snack?
Users admitted this was common and suggested keeping chips out of the house, buying single-serve portions, making healthy snacks easier to grab, or allowing planned chip portions instead of pretending cravings do not exist.
Answers & Discussion
When I am tired, I do not make smart choices. The only thing that works is not keeping the big bags at home.
Healthy snacks have to be easy. If fruit is washed and ready, I eat it. If it is hidden in the drawer, chips win.
I stopped pretending I would never eat chips. I portion them out with dinner sometimes and move on.
