For a first trip, I would do London, Paris, and Rome. It is a classic route for a reason, and you get a strong mix of history, food, and big-city energy.
I’m planning my first trip to Europe. Which countries should I visit if I only have two weeks?
I've never been to Europe before and I want a trip that feels exciting but not too rushed. If you had two weeks for a first Europe trip, which countries or cities would you choose?
Most replies suggested keeping the trip simple instead of trying to visit too many countries. Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, and the Netherlands came up often, with several users recommending three or four main stops at most.

Do not try to see ten countries in two weeks. Pick three places and enjoy them properly. My vote would be Paris, Amsterdam, and Barcelona.
Italy alone can fill two weeks easily. Rome, Florence, Venice, and maybe the Amalfi Coast would be a beautiful first Europe trip.
Portugal and Spain are great if you want good food, warmer weather, and slightly easier prices than some northern European cities.
