Good managers should use AI to remove repetitive work, not squeeze people harder. But we all know how that usually goes.
Is AI making office work easier or just making expectations higher
People keep saying AI will save time at work, but I am noticing managers expect more output now because tools exist. Is anyone actually working less, or are we just producing more with the same stress?
Replies say AI can reduce repetitive tasks but may also raise expectations and speed up workloads.

As a newer employee, AI is useful for learning formulas and summarizing documents. But I also worry people assume I can do senior-level work faster just because tools exist.
It helps me draft things faster but I dont feel less busy. I just get through boring tasks quicker and then more work appears. So yes, easier in pieces but not easier overall.
This is exactly what happened with email and smartphones too. Tools made communication faster, then suddenly everyone expected instant replies. AI might help individuals, but companies will probably turn that saved time into more tasks.
