I go in for eggs and leave with a kayak somehow
Is Costco even worth it for one person
everybody loves costco but i feel like im buying industrial amounts of food for no reason
Replies suggest Costco is useful for gas, household items, and freezer storage, but can encourage overspending for single people.

Honestly gas savings alone pays for mine
If you dont have freezer space then probably not
Honestly, I think it depends on how disciplined you are and what you buy. We are a family of three and there are definitely things at Costco that save us money, especially household items, cleaning supplies, paper products, and some frozen foods. The problem is that every trip seems to turn into a much bigger bill than planned.
A lot of the savings only work if you actually use everything before it expires. Buying a giant container of something is not a bargain if half of it ends up in the garbage. We learned that the hard way with produce and a few food items that looked like a great deal at the time.
For us, the membership is still worth it, but not because every product is cheaper. It\'s worth it because there are a handful of items we buy regularly that offset the membership cost over the year. If I lived alone, I probably wouldn\'t bother. For a small family, I think it can make sense, but only if you shop with a plan and avoid all the impulse purchases that Costco is famous for.
