For Japan, AI was helpful with grouping areas in Tokyo, like not putting Shibuya and Asakusa back-to-back without thinking about distance. But I still used official transit apps and hotel locations. AI can make a pretty itinerary that is not practical on the ground.
Would you trust AI to plan a full trip to Europe or Japan?
AI gives nice itineraries, but I’m worried it might suggest closed places, impossible travel times or tourist traps. Has anyone used it successfully?

Answers & Discussion
I use AI to brainstorm, not decide. It gives me a menu of options, then I choose based on real maps and reviews. The biggest problem is that AI makes every day too full. It forgets you need lunch, rest and time to get lost.
AI is great for a first draft, but I would never book a trip from it without checking. It helped me organize neighborhoods and day trips, but I had to verify opening hours, train times and ticket rules. Travel details change too often.
