4Walk the Paseo del Prado

The Paseo del Prado is one of the main boulevards of Madrid.
The tree-lined boulevard runs north south between the Plaza de Cibeles and the Plaza del Emperador Carlos V and is a landmark for city residents and tourists alike. Along the boulevard are many important cultural locations, such as the Golden Triangle of Art, which encompasses three renowned museums (including the Museo del Prado) and the Royal Botanical Gardens.
On Sundays, the boulevard is closed to traffic so that walkers can better view the historical buildings and scenery without the interruption of the very busy street traffic. This is the road to walk on if you’re looking for scenic attractions and general sightseeing and will give you a great feel for Madrid’s history and cultural impacts.
