Madonna responds to critics

After the harsh criticism that rained down on her because of the various features in which she appeared at the “Grammy” awards ceremony, the veteran American singer Madonna broke her silence, and in turn launched an attack on the critics, saying that “the world is threatened by her strength.”

Madonna , 64, presented one of the awards at the Grammy ceremony, but her appearance surprised many, who took to social media to express their surprise.

Madonna had different features, as she enlarged her cheeks, her skin was clearly taut, and her eyebrows were very thin.

In response to the comments, Madonna published a video that includes excerpts from the concert, accompanied by some artists, attached to it a scathing comment, saying that “the close-up image taken with a long lens camera” is what distorted her face and made it appear more round and swollen than it was in reality.

She said, “Instead of focusing on what I said in my speech…many people chose to only talk about close-ups of me taken with a long lens camera, by a photojournalist, that would distort anyone’s face!”

“Once again I’m caught up in the ageism and misogyny that permeates the world we live in,” she added.

She also considered that “she lives in a world that refuses to celebrate women over 45 years of age, and feels the need to punish her if she continues with strong will, hard work and adventure.”

And the American star stepped up the tone of the challenge, announcing that she “is not about to start apologizing for any of the creative choices she made, nor the way she looks, or her clothes,” stressing that she “will not start” to do so now.

She went on to say that she was “degraded” by the press from the early days of her fame, and continued, “But I understand that this is all a test, and I am happy to pioneer so that all women after me may have an easier time in the years to come.”

Madonna concluded her comment by saying, “You will not break my spirit… I look forward to many more years of disruptive behavior, pushing boundaries, standing up to patriarchy, and most of all enjoying my life.”

The star was not satisfied with that post on her account on the Instagram application, as she posted a tweet on her Twitter account, which included a picture of her attached to a comment that said: “The world is threatened by my strength, my stamina, my intelligence and my will to survive. But they will never break me.”
