You likely already feel free after finishing college but why not give yourself a little bit more of a taste of freedom? The following locations are perfect for recent graduations to get a much-needed recharge.

1. Galapagos Islands

You can get more details about the Galapagos Island but we’re sure you’ve already heard some amazing things about this part of the world.

If you want to explore this beautiful network of islands, the best way to do that is by taking a small cruise ship. If you try to visit some of the remote islands, you aren’t going to find anywhere to stay since there are very few accommodations.

Since the smaller and more remote islands aren’t highly trafficked, you’ll be able to see plenty of wildlife. The Islands have many different types of animals including interesting birds, sea lions and more.

2. Turkey

Many people visit the larger cities in Turkey but there are plenty of smaller cities to see and experience the unique blend of cultures. Whether you want European or Asian, you’ll be able to find it in Turkey.

The beautiful statues and unique architecture draw many people to come to visit each year. The tourism isn’t all about the beaches either though they are quite beautiful.

Turkey is considerably budget-friendly when compared to vacationing in major European nations.

3. Bulgaria

Love getting out and hiking in nature? Bulgaria is a beautiful country with many hiking trails that go through mountains, forests, sandy beaches and more.

Castles and museums, anyone? If castles are your jam then you can visit Baba Vida which is a museum now.

Belogradchik Fortress is another architectural marvel that is a must-visit if you make your way to Bulgaria. The rich history could keep you busy the entire time you’re in the country or you can let nature pull you away for a hike.

4. Cambodia

Cambodia isn’t a highly-trafficked area yet so you can still make your post-college dollar go pretty far. You can find many cultural, historical and natural wonders there and you’ll have plenty to do.

Whether you want to ride bikes, take a walk or swim at the beautiful beaches, Cambodia is a great place to celebrate being a new graduate.

5. Indonesia

If you want a wide variety of choices in a small radius then Indonesia is a great place to pick for your after college getaway.

You’ve likely seen rice terraces on kung fu movies but seeing them in person is a whole other thing. There are plenty of rice terraces to see in Indonesia or maybe you’d rather see the dense jungles or beaches that will leave you speechless.

6. Florida Keys

Don’t feel like making your way across the ocean? No worries. The United States has its own beautiful paradise tucked away down near Cuba.

The Florida Keys and its southern-most point offer clear and beautiful waters as far as the eye can see. If you love to kayak, the Keys offer plenty of great destinations to put your kayak in the water.

If you want to make the trip about 2 hours out from the Florida Keys you can go visit the Dry Tortugas National Park. It’s a beautiful spot but the trip out can be more than some people can take in a given day.

The beaches around the Keys are a sight to be seen and there is plenty of great fishing.

7. Sri Lanka

Though Sri Lanka is a small country, it has a lot to offer when you’re looking for something fun to do and somewhere great to relax.

The landscapes will leave you speechless from the wilderness to the beaches. You can get around Sri Lanka pretty easily since it is such a small country. You won’t have to put out too much money since a vacation here is pretty affordable.

The people of the country are warm and friendly and you’ll find yourself making new friends as you make your way through the country.

Preparing for Overseas Trips

If you’re planning a trip overseas, you need to make sure you have everything in place from your passport to your visa. You also should keep an eye on travel advisories in case something bad is happening and makes it dangerous for you to visit.

Get any necessary vaccinations and fill your prescriptions to make sure you’re ready to make the trip.
