According to Bloomberg, Apple started designing virtual reality glasses over 7 years ago.

The upcoming glasses to be announced by the company will be priced at a premium cost, potentially reaching up to $3,000.

Apple is set to reveal the product in June, however, it’s currently unclear what marketing strategy it will use to convince users to purchase it.

Variety of features

The company is planning to add a range of features to the glasses including games, fitness services and an app for reading books in virtual reality. The glasses may be named Reality Pro or Reality One.

Bloomberg reported that the device is equipped with various cutting-edge technologies and features that allow it to run almost all iPad apps, but in a virtual reality setting.

These are the applications that are included: Books, Camera, Contacts, FaceTime, Files, Home, Mail, Maps, Messages, Music, Notes, Photos, Reminders, TV, and Weather. The language code used for output is EN-US.

Advanced video meetings

In addition, the glasses can run numerous third-party iPad apps that are already available in the App Store, numbering in the hundreds of thousands.

The updated version now features a VR portal for watching sports and can support high-level video conferences and virtual meeting rooms, providing users with an immersive experience of being in the same location.
