While you may not notice them day-to-day, your nails are often one of the first things people notice about you. To others, your nails appearance is often an example of your overall self-care and hygiene.

Nails are usually a representation of your body’s overall health and they respond to changes in diet and self-care accordingly. 3Use cuticle oil or cream

Dry cuticles contract from your nail beds, allowing moisture and chemicals better access to the tender nail bed and exposing your nails to future damage as they grow out. It can also expose your nails to bacterial growth, which can result in nasty infections. To prevent this, use high quality cream or cuticle oil and apply it religiously. Also, do not let salons cut or manipulate your cuticles.
If you cannot afford a fancy cream, try the natural route and apply coconut or olive oil to your cuticles and massage until the oil has absorbed.
Since cuticles are living tissue, careful care and treatment will see them recover.
