Video – White leads Boston to victory over Miami

Derrick White scored two points before the final buzzer to force the Boston Celtics, the Miami Heat, to play a seventh game, after beating them 104-103 in the Eastern Conference Finals series last night.

And after three free throws from Jimmy Butler with three seconds remaining, he gave Miami the lead, then Marcus Smart missed a three-pointer for Boston, but White followed up quickly to clinch an exciting Celtics victory.

Boston, second in the East standings, won the last three games to become the fourth team in league history to force the decisive seventh game after losing the first three games in an elimination series.

No team in the league’s history has ever excelled in a series after trailing 3-0.

Game 7 will be played in Boston on Monday night.

Miami, eighth in the division, led by a point after leading 15-4 after trailing by ten points with five minutes remaining, and Butler scored 13 points for the Heat during this period.

Jason Tatum scored 31 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and provided five assists, and Brown added 26 points and grabbed ten rebounds for the Celtics.

Butler finished the match, scoring 24 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, distributing eight assists, and scoring 15 points in the fourth quarter, compared to 21 points for Caleb Martin with 15 rebounds for the Heat.

The Denver Nuggets qualified for the final round of the tournament after sweeping the Los Angeles Lakers 4-0 in the Western Conference Finals series.
