If you own a house, then perhaps you want to own a garden too. And if you own a garden, then perhaps you are confused as to what to plant. Various plants would go well with the aesthetic of your house, but how do you choose the one that looks the best? There are many ways to decide that, one of them is to think of the best uses these plants will have. Another is what effect they will have on your house.
There are many options to choose from; this article highlights a few of them and leaves it up to you to choose from.
Anything shady (mostly trees)
Trees are one of the best options you can go for. However, garden trees have constraints that you need to follow; otherwise, you may face devastating consequences. You need to make sure that once the trees grow, their roots will not damage the foundation of your house. In case it does, you will have to uproot the tree before it uproots your house. Some good examples of trees you might want to grow in your garden are citrus trees, Chinese pistache, or amur maples. If you feel scared of big trees, you can always grow bonsai trees; they are miniature trees, after all.
The fruits of your labor
You can have fruits in your garden, organically growing every last one of them. If we grow our own food, we have security regarding the quality and the safety of the fruits. None of them will have chemical pesticides or insecticides in them, and they will be completely natural. You can grow tomatoes, cherries, papayas, and some people even grow pumpkins in their gardens. Basically, you can go wild with your imagination and find the right way to plant your favorite vegetable or fruit in your garden. These will be the fruits of your labor, tasty ones at that.
Flowering plants
Flowering plants are the first part of ornamental plants you can grow in your garden. They don’t serve any specific purpose other than increasing the beauty of the garden. You can plant roses to make it more beautiful, lilies to make it serene, and tulips to make it classy. Different flowers tell different stories, so you need to be careful with what you plant (it still does not matter too much). Flowering plants often need to be grafted into your garden, so you will need a gardener’s help for the same.
Decorative plants (ferns)
The last category and the second half of ornamental plants are decorative plants. These include ferns, money plants, and so on. These plants provide greenery to your garden, which is very necessary if it lacks it (otherwise, it won’t be a garden, it’ll merely be a plot of land). Decorative plants often look good near your house, so that is how they should be placed in your garden.
Plants increase the beauty of the house they are kept in; feel free to choose any kind of plant to put in your garden; it is sure to look beautiful.
