The Nintendo Switch is the newest gaming console on the market, and man is it huge!  The night it came out stores filled with eager customers wanting to get a hold of one before it was too late.  In fact, Nintendo did not even have enough systems sent out to supply all the demands for it.

It took weeks, and sometimes even months, for the console to finally find a seat on the shelves of stores.  However, they did have one problem that haunted them, and that was the amount of games that were made readily available to those who got the Switch.  Sure there was the near perfect Zelda, Breath of the Wild, which was a launch title, but aside from that there was not much.  That has changed a little since launch date though, and there are some beautiful and amazing games to the Switch now.  So today I want to talk about the top seven games to the Nintendo Switch, and just to make things more interesting, I promise Breath of the Wild is not going to be the number one or number two entry, as it is not my favorite game on the system anyhow!

3Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild

Shocker, right?  I do not think Breath of the Wild is the best game on the Nintendo Switch!  My wife and me both agree on this, though it is her second favorite game to the console.  I love the game, don’t get me wrong, but it just was not what I wanted in a Zelda game.  I love the challenges of the old dungeons in Majora’s Mask and Twilight Princess.  This game did not offer that to me.  However, it did offer open world, food making, and horse picking fun!  In this game you can get through the beginning part, which is basically a tutorial, and go straight to fight Ganon if that is what you want to do.  I do not recommend this, and I have not met anyone who has beat the game like that, but it is possible.

The story to this Zelda game is also a little more profound.  I do not want to ruin it for you, so I’ll just say that Link was put into a deep sleep to be awaken at the right time, when Ganon would come forth and try and take over Hyrule.  There are so many places in this game that reminded me of Ocarina of Time, the most important one being the Temple of Time.

This game also allows you to make food that can help with health and other stats, and you can capture your own horses, and name them!  My wife and I have named the horses after our Uglydolls, which we collect.  This game is beautiful as well.  The graphics completely blew my mind, on T.V. and on the Switch console itself.  The map is huge, and I’m pretty sure it’s one of the biggest maps any game has to offer.  I highly recommend this game to everyone, even though it is not my favorite.
