Popularly known as the NGV, the National Gallery of Victoria is Australia’s largest, oldest and most visited art museum. The gallery encompasses 73,000 works of art, which range from international sculpture, prints, fashion and textiles, to native art and indigenous imagery.

Broken into two buildings, the strikingly contemporary buildings that make up the NGV are composed of the NGV International, which contains international works from Europe, Asia, America and Oceania, and The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia, which contains Australian art and indigenous and non-indigenous art from the colonial period.

Access to the gallery is free and is open daily from 10AM to 5PM (barring some holidays).
