(Video) An Australian lives the story of the movie “Cast Away” and survives “by a miracle”

An Australian sailor and his dog were rescued, after being stranded for two months in the waters of the Pacific Ocean, and they managed to survive thanks to drinking rainwater and eating raw fish.

Tim Shaddock and his dog “Bella” had set sail from the Mexican coastal city of La Paz in April 2023, and had planned to sail 6,000 kilometers before docking in French Polynesia, according to what was reported by the French News Agency, Monday, July 17, 2023.

But the man soon found himself stuck in the Pacific Ocean after heavy waves damaged the boat and disabled his electronic devices, and he was rescued after being spotted by a helicopter.

Shaddock, 51, said in a video obtained by the Australian agency Nine News that he felt “very well” despite having little food and water. “I have been through a very difficult ordeal at sea,” he added in a separate video “.

Shaddock remarked that he “only needed rest and good food, for he had been alone at sea for so long.”Shaddock and “Bella” will soon be transferred to Mexico, according to the news station.
