The Reichstag building is a historical edifice rich with Germany’s history and a must visit when in Berlin. Dating back to the 1800s, the Reichstag building has lived many lives. Originally a parliamentary building, the Reichstag fell into disuse during the Nazi period and was only fully restored after the official reunification of Germany.
Now, the Reichstag is again in full use as a parliamentary building, but visitors can view its impressive architecture from the outside and can also visit the Bundestag, the building’s beautiful glass dome, free of charge. Keep in mind, if visiting before June 26 all visitors but be registered in advance.
