How to install a sprinkler system?

If you desire to place a sprinkler system correctly, follow these tips and the step by step guide so that you don’t end up having a leaked system. We made this guide so that anyone can establish a sprinkler arrangement with ease.

Step 1: Assemble all the things generally required for it, which are a sprinkler valve, two or more PVC MIP adapters, thread-seal plumber’s tape, PVC primer & solvent glue, reciprocating saw, PVC pipe cutter, or hacksaw, utility knife or sandpaper, and tongue-and-groove pliers.

Step 2: Plan the deployment of the arrangement in the yard and mark the sprinter position with a flag. Plan the routing of pipes with the help of measure tape. Make sure to cover the most field possible. Also, decide where you would put the control valves.

Step 3: Examine the force of the stream supply with a water gauge. To do this stick it up on a water nozzle and shift it to the peak. Generally, the sprinkler arrangements need about 210kPA to run, so verify yours before installing.

Step 4: Take an ax and dig trenches from 6 to 12 inches till you create the required space. Make sure to dig carefully, to avoid water lines, lighting circuits, and sewer lines.

Step 5: Now place the pipe within the trenches and cover the hole again. First, put the mainline to unite the external water nozzle. Then place the PVC pipes in the rest of the places. You can also use swing joints or EZ pipe for getting sprinklers setting more comfortable.

Step 6: It’s time to install risers to combine the water channel to sprinkler ends. They have to be connected to the PVC pipe using a thread. Make sure to use the accurate thread size for the purpose.

Step 7: Join the main water channel to control flaps and join the backflow preventer to the line of water supply if required. This backflow preventer makes sure that if the water system loses strength, the water doesn’t get polluted.

Step 8: The next step is to flush the system with water. Operate the devices manually to flush the arrangement. To flush the vessel with water, you can open each flap and then seal.

Step 9: The last step is to wire the flaps to the timer following any direction provided by the manufacturer of the same. You also need to examine individual zones and make any changes to the length and paths of sprinklers.

If everything goes right, you have mastered the technique to place a sprinkler. Also, there is a strong chance that after following this guide, you have learned how to install a sprinkler arrangement, but the real learning comes with its application and real-life experiments.
