Star David Robinson, who was best known for his role in Dog The Bounty Hunter, died at the age of 50 while speaking on the phone to his wife. His death came shortly after media outlets had published stories suggesting that he may have suffered a stroke or heart attack.

David’s wife, Brooke Robinson, took to Facebook to confirm what happened: ” David was in good health and was on a business call in the dining room at home when he died. An attempt was made to save him and he perished.” Paramedics were called but David sadly died in my arms.”

Brooke, David’s wife of five months, spoke out against reports that her husband had a heart attack or stroke. “The rumors of a heart attack and stroke have already been dismissed,” she said. “We ask again for the time and space to grieve a lost husband, father, brother and friend.”

Robinson’s ex-wife confirms death

Renee Robinson, David’s ex-wife, confirmed to TMZ that he had passed away earlier today. She stated that David was on a Zoom call when he suddenly had a medical emergency. Police and paramedics attempted CPR after arriving at the scene but were unsuccessful.

On Wednesday, she announced his death to her Instagram followers with a photo of David and the caption “11/2/72 – 11/30/22 #Fast156.”

“It’s sad,” she said to People. “They’re going to do an autopsy because he was so young. He was only 50.”

Duane Chapman mourns the death of Robinson

Robinson starred alongside Duane Chapman, aka Dog the Bounty Hunter, in 2019’s Dog’s Most Wanted. The show ran for one season on WGN.

Chapman took to Instagram to pay tribute to his co-star David, saying: “I am shocked and saddened by the sudden loss of David Robinson. RIP.”

Several sources close to Chapman said it appeared he may have suffered from a heart attack or stroke – but no official cause of death has yet been confirmed.
