Tragically, one individual dead and at least ten more are missing following a devastating explosion in an apartment building situated on the British isle of Jersey near the coast of France. This information was shared by police officials to local media outlets.

Robin Smith, the Chief of Police in St. Helier, reported that a vast blast occurred at approximately four o’clock this morning and 12 people who lived inside the building are unaccounted for.
On Saturday, the police on Jersey Island of the English Channel took to Twitter to report that multiple people had gone missing following a disastrous explosion.
Following the explosion this morning at Haut du Mont, Pier Road a number of residents are still missing. Emergency services are working at the scene and have commenced a surface search of the site. Relatives are being contacted by Family Liaison Officers.

The police released a statement this morning stating that several residents are still missing following the devastating blast in Hauts-du-Mont on Pierre Rud. Emergency services have been dispatched to the site and they have commenced search operations immediately.
The BBC and Sky News suggested that one casualty had occurred, however Reuters was unable to corroborate the reports immediately.
