Elon Musk has surpassed Barack Obama

Breaking the Guinness Book of Records, Elon Musk recently toppled former US President Barack Obama from being the most followed and popular Twitter account. The American billionaire magnate is renowned for his ownership in Tesla Motors and SpaceX – but now adds a new record to an impressive list of accomplishments.

Elon Musk has surpassed former President Obama in the realm of social media followers and now holds a staggering 133.06 million supporters compared to his predecessor’s 133.04 million following!

Speculation has it that the $44 billion purchase of Twitter by Elon Musk in late October was instrumental to the rise in his followers, with news about it sweeping across social media since then.

Last June, Musk achieved the significant milestone of having over 100 million followers on Twitter. Since then, his follower count has increased steadily before exploding after acquiring a stake in the platform.

According to the “Social Blade” website, the number of Musk’s followers has increased over the past 30 days by about 3.042 million followers.

In stark contrast to Obama’s largely professional Twitter usage, Musk frequently posts about his personal life and shares his thoughts on various topics. While he sometimes promotes causes or speaks of important issues, the majority of his tweets center around himself and what he finds interesting.

From funny memes to his thoughts on life and news of his many companies, Musk’s tweets are always an eclectic mix. He keeps us all entertained with humorous visuals while also keeping up-to-date on the developments at each of his businesses. His social media presence is truly something special!

Musk has made a name for himself by regularly announcing news of the company that he owns.
