A fire broke out in a missile production factory yesterday, Tuesday, in the US state of Pennsylvania.
A police statement said, “At approximately 15:00 Eastern time… a large fire broke out at the Army Ammunition Plant in Scranton, Pennsylvania. It is unclear at this time whether the fire occurred in the building, but emergency services are on the scene.” .
No injuries
Eyewitnesses to the incident posted video clips and pictures of the factory, which had thick black smoke rising from its chimneys.

Later, the company that owns the factory, General Dynamics, confirmed that a small fire broke out in the factory, but it was quickly extinguished and there were no casualties.
Produces ammunition for Ukraine
It is noteworthy that the Scranton Army Ammunition Factory is one of the vital assets of the US Joint Munitions Command, and this factory also produces ammunition that is exported to Ukraine
The company produces a wide range of ammunition, including 155 and 105 mm artillery shells.
