A strange video about airplane toilets; where does the waste go?

A video clip showing the waste disposal mechanism on a plane was shared by activists on TikTok and gained millions of likes.

The mystery of using the toilet on an airplane has been revealed by a pilot on TikTok and Instagram (@flywithgarrrett), clarifying what occurs during the process at 30,000 feet in the air.

It is not possible to dispose of waste by dumping it from a flight, despite some misconceptions.

Don’t get thrown into the air!

In the video, which has been viewed 4.4 million times, he clarified that the waste is not thrown from the plane to fall down in the air, but rather the opposite.

According to him, whenever we use the bathroom on the airplane, the waste and water travel through the plumbing to the rear of the plane and the cabins. At the destination, the ground crew is responsible for disposing of the waste that has accumulated.

More than 1,000 toilet flushes on a long-haul 747 can produce over 320 gallons of waste.

More than 500,000 people were surprised by the aerial expert’s video, as many of them thought that the waste was being released in the air.
