No trip to San Diego is complete without a visit to La Jolla Cove. La Jolla means “the jewel” in Spanish, and the name is very fitting, as this place is definitely the jewel of San Diego’s coastline.
The cove is a protected marine reserve, which means that it’s a snorkeler’s and scuba diver’s paradise. Here you can swim amongst eels, stingray, as well as many other colorful fish.
If scuba diving or snorkeling isn’t your thing, you can also kayak, paddleboard, or go for a nice hike along the cove.
Hit the Museums
Rainy days are rare in San Diego. However, you should still leave room for a museum day in your itinerary.
