A child kills a child by shooting in the US state of Kentucky

So far this year, the United States has seen more than 150 unintentional shootings of children

According to the police, a 5-year-old boy was shot and killed by a 7-year-old boy inside a house in eastern Kentucky.

The state police said in a statement that a preliminary investigation determined that the shooting reported Monday night at a McKee City home was accidental.

Police said paramedics tried to save the child, but the Jackson County Coroner declared the child dead at the scene.

The police added that investigations are still ongoing while refusing to reveal the identity of the two children.
