After a quarrel… 3 dead and 12 wounded during a party in the US

Three people were killed and 12 injured on Saturday evening, following gunfire during a party in a town in the southern state of Alabama.

Baldwin County Investigations Department official Andre Reed told Walla-TV that about a thousand people were attending a Labor Day party near the town of Stockton, when a quarrel began and gunfire occurred.

Reed added that most of those present were young people.

There were no reports of police making any arrests.

The Associated Press left a message for the police office on Sunday seeking comment.

Stockton has a population of about 400 people, and is located about 48 kilometers northeast of Mobile, Alabama.

Law enforcement was not involved in the shooting, Reed said.
