In a clear message of support for the new Twitter owner, Elon Musk, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis entered the ongoing war between American billionaires and Apple.

The rising Republican politician warned the smartphone giant against banning Twitter on iPhones, stressing that such a move would be detrimental to their image.

He also noted that if Apple went ahead with such a decision, it would demonstrate a strong monopoly power, which might end up necessitating Congressional intervention.

Musk’s praises

Desantis, a potential candidate for the upcoming presidential elections in the United States, praised yesterday evening Twitter’s recent changes, including lifting the ban on many conservative politicians.

He also noted that ex-Twitter employees attempted to silence individuals who were against the company’s decision to shut down during the Coronavirus pandemic.

This announcement from a rising Republican star is seen as a response to the previous tweet from Elon Musk announcing his support for the 2024 presidential elections.

It also came after the war broke out between the controversial man and the giant phone company. Mask opened the doors to freedom of expression and the release of thousands of accounts that had been previously frozen, some of which belonged to extremist rightists.

Two days ago, Musk announced on Twitter that Apple had threatened to remove the “Twitter” app from its store unless an unknown reason was rectified.

He also mentioned that Apple had stopped their twitter ads, making him question if “Apple hates freedom of expression in America?!”
