(Video) Amber Heard makes her first public appearance after paying Johnny Depp

Amber Heard has been photographed for the first time after finally paying her ex-husband Johnny Depp the previously agreed upon $1 million settlement amount, following their bitter legal battle. It comes after Depp and his ex-wife eventually settled defamation claims against each other in December after five years of fierce legal battles.

Johnny Depp has pledged to split the amount among five of his favorite charities, for a total of $200,000 each, namely the Make-A-Film Foundation, The Painted Turtle, Red Feather, Tetiaroa Society, and Amazonia Fund Alliance.

Amber Heard is in high spirits

In a video obtained by the Daily Mail, the 37-year-old star appeared on Wednesday in Madrid, where she has moved with her two-year-old daughter, Una, in the wake of the lawsuits. Smiling and looking in high spirits, she did not indicate the vicious war of lawsuits that she and Depp waged after their 15-month marriage fell apart in a swamp of abuse allegations back and forth.

Heard, who was fluent in Spanish, told an interviewer on the street that she was very happy in Spain. “I hope I can spend more time here,” she said, but she carefully avoided questions about the settlement. The Aquaman actress was holding a children’s book about a cat, most likely to entertain her young daughter Una.

Amber Heard returns to her artistic field

Technically rather than judicially, Heard will reprise her role as Mera in the upcoming Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom sequel, hitting theaters this December. She also wrapped pre-trial filming of In the Fire last year, but the release date for that project is unclear. She will also be attending the 69th Italian Taormina Film Festival for the world premiere of her movie, In the Fire, on June 24.
