As of now, based on official documents, the former spouses will have joint legal and physical custody over their four kids: North who is 9 years old, Saint who is 6 years old, Chicago 4 years old, and Basalem 3 years old. Furthermore, the rapper has to pay $200K monthly in child support. They will also be responsible for footing half the bill of the children’s medical expenses as well as their education and security-related costs. Although Kim did not seek spousal support from her ex-, she agreed to these terms.

According to the settlement, both would pay their own debts as they had a prenuptial agreement and kept their properties separate.

The former spouses agreed that any disputes related to the children will be solved through mediation. If one party does not participate in said mediation, then the other spouse gets to make the decisions. Their assets like property will also be divided amongst them from before they separated.

Kim Kardashian and her relationship with Kanye West

Kardashian and West began dating in 2012. They got married in May 2014 but ran into some trouble in 2020 when West launched a campaign for President of the United States and started revealing deep personal details about his family and marriage on the campaign trail and on Twitter.

At the time, Kardashian asked fans to be understanding of their situation complex and painful situation that resulted from West’s bipolar disorder diagnosis.

Later, in February 2021, Kardashian filed for divorce from West after almost seven years of marriage. Then, in December, Kim asked to be legally declared single. She also requested that child custody and property issues should not be connected with her marital status and that she wants her maiden name back.

In February, Kardashian filed court documents that said, “I want to be divorced. I asked Kanye to keep our divorce secret so we could work things out between us, but he hasn’t. He’s put a lot of false information about me and our children on social media which caused emotional distress.” Shepherd continued by saying she believes the court terminating their marital status will help West “accept that our relationship is over and move forward so we can co-parent the children peacefully.”

“I hope our marriage works out,” she said. “But I realize that there is no way to fix it.. Kanye disagrees, but at least he seems to have realized that I want to end the marriage–even if he doesn’t. So, your Honor, I ask the court to put me back in single person status so Starting the healing process and enabling our family to move forward into this new chapter of our lives.”
