Republican Party accuses Biden

After 80-year-old Democratic President Joe Biden announced his decision to run in the US presidential elections scheduled for 2024, the Republican Party criticized him as “detached from reality.”

The Republican National Committee said, “Biden is so detached from reality that after causing one crisis after another, he sees himself as worthy of four more years.”

And the committee warned that if Biden wins, “inflation will continue to skyrocket, crime rates will rise (…) and American families will be worse off.”

Today , Biden officially announced his candidacy for re-election in 2024, asking voters to give him more time to “finish the job” he started when he was sworn in in 2020, and to put aside their concerns about giving the oldest president in terms of age a second four-year term.

Biden, who will be 86 years old at the end of the second term if he is re-elected, is betting on his legislative achievements in the first term.

He faces a smooth path to winning his party’s nomination, with no serious Democratic challengers . But he is still willing to fight an uphill battle to retain the presidency in a country bitterly divided.

The announcement, made in a three-minute video, comes on the anniversary of Biden announcing his bid for the White House in 2019.

And if opinion polls are correct, another contest between Biden and his predecessor, Donald Trump, is on the horizon.
